Has anyone made their own manure forks for either a skid steer or tractor loader? Thinking about buying a set or building one. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I built a set of manure tines from old Ford axles from the late 1940s. The kind that taper toward the end.

I welded them into a unit that slipped over the edge of the bucket, then bolted into place with one bolt.

I think they would have worked great, but I just didn't have enough tractor at the time. I built them to use on a Ford 1500 that I had. Not enough lift for the bucket, tines, and manure.

Haven't seen this first-hand, but my Pap said that the best manure tines should be made from old leaf springs.
