While I don't recall who posted it, a couple of weeks ago, someone posted a link to an outfit called www.SurplusCenter.com when they replied to an ongoing discussion and our of curiousity I went poking around in it. Great outfit.

I'm preparing to install air system plumbing in my aircraft hangar/workshop (I live in a fly-in community) and was in need of a large regulator to take my 175 psi compressor tank pressure and reduce it to 100 psi for the shop system and I didn't want to restrict the airflow. I needed 3/4 fittings. Well those large regulators are expensive. I was looking at Grainger and MSC and wondering what to do, when I found just what I needed at Surplus Center. I bought a Wilkerson regulator with 1" fittings (easy to reduce to 3/4) for less than half (including shipping) of what Grainger wanted for the exact same brand and part number!!!

I ordered the item and received confirming emails for the order and when it was shipped. It arrived today UPS, extremely well packed, the box had every edge and corner taped with fiber reinforced packing tape. I thought the S&H was pricey and now I know why, and I don't mind!

Thanks to whoever mentioned that link.

Charles

Might have been me. I get thier catalog regularly, and quite often I find myself in your situation. Thier prices allow me to buy an item that otherwise I'd likely try to do without.
