Jet bandsaw blade needed

I've been trying,without success, to find a blade for my Jet horizontal/vertical metal cutting bandsaw. It measures 1/2" x 64 1/2" Any help appreciated.

Cambell Supply in Sioux falls South Dakota has them and they sell the saws also

A division of the company I work for builds custom band saw blades... while they mainly build blades for wood cutting machines, they can build blades for any machine you want... and for a price less than you'll find elsewhere! (they also build custom sanding belts from any material to fit any machine (from a hand-held belt sander up to the largest wide-belt or edge sander)... again at the best price you'll find!) Contact A&H Abrasives at 1-800-831-6066 to order. You'll need the circumference of the blade, the width and the type blade (flex-back, bi-metal, etc) and the # of teeth per inch. The sales rep will be able to answer any questions if you're unsure what type blade you'll need.

Call American Saw & Mfg @ 1800-223-7906 and ask for the name of a distributor near you that welds blades.

go to grizzly.com and ask for a catalog.It is like 500 pages of good stuff from welding to wood working .i am looking at 2003 catalog but they are offering what you need.

Well, I thought MSC had them on sale, but apparently it was the Feb sale catalog. The March metalworking sale flyer does not have them. My Northern Hyd. bandsaw uses this size, very common, Quite a few saws use it. The Chinese blade didn't last long. I bought two Starrett 14/18 variable pitch blades (less chatter) from MSC on sale and haven't installed the second one yet.

Everyone shold have a MSC account number established, it costs nothing and everything ships "right now" and arrives "tommorrow"

I get mine from my local True Value hardware store. And when I get to a big town with a Harbor Freight store I get a few to carry me along.

Jaybird: I don't know what you've tried already, so I'll throw out a few ideas and see which ones (if any!) you haven't tried yet. I would think that most of the big supply houses should have blades in that size--try McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com), Grainger (grainger.com) MSC (mscdirect.com, I believe), or Enco (use-enco.com) for starters. Also, most machine shops (and many industrial places with an in-house machine or maintenance shop) will have a large bandsaw. Most of these have a welder built into the saw, as blades often need to be cut, threaded into the hole to be sawn, and then welded back together. They will often weld your existing blades or make up a new one in your length for a couple of bucks plus the cost of the blade stock. Many of these places buy their blade stock by the 100-foot roll, so it's often cheaper than a ready-made blade.

doe a google search for band saw blades. that size is very common. there a company in florida (and several other states) i order blades from. wholesale tool company. not sure if they have a web site. do not have catalog with me (it is at school) very nice to deal with.

Go to a welding or tool supply house and have them make it to these measurements. Thats how I have been getting them for my Kalamazoo saw for years now. Gene Davis
