I work in a very large aircraft maintenance facility with hundreds of other mechanics and their (mostly red, a few blue or other color) tool boxes. We use our rollaways hard. Almost everyone has put them on angle iron frames with casters, as virtually everyone has two boxes on a frame or a box and a home made from aluminum "side box" with a place for storing cans and bottles, etc. The best boxes are the name brands, Proto, Kennedy, Waterloo, older Craftsman ones, and the MAC and Snap-on ones. Proto had a cracking problem at one time, due to metal weight and location of critical spot welds. They came in and inspected everyones boxes, took orders for new ones and later brought in a semi full, free of charge. I think they even let the guys keep the cracked ones to take home to the garage or basement. Every maker has different grades of boxes, I have two identical Proto boxes on a frame, they were a discontinued model. very heavy steel and with rolled edges on the drawers. I think they didn't sell well, too expensive, and discontinued them. Waterloo is the lightest and cheapest quality of the good boxes, but they are OK for the average user, especially if you are not rolling it around over air hoses, etc. Alot of guys at work have them and have no problems with them. Check with the industrial suppliers, Cameron & Barkley, Even Grainger and MSC. Ask about sales and closeouts, discplay models, etc. Go to the box mfg web sites and find out who the distributors in you area are and call them. Charles
