I have gotten the Ebay/Saw bug too bad! Last September it started out with a couple of torn down McCulloch 610 saws at my local saw shop.Only $15.00 for BOTH; what a deal! I got these for "parts" cause I have an old 610 my dad bought in 1984 and I have it cause he said it"s too damn big for him anymore. I use it for the two neighbors and their wood stoves. I enjoy cutting cause I was raised on a farm. Nut case is more like it. Tree blood! WELL one of these part saws was runnig in less than one week. Needed a carb kit and a little TLC. Then I found another 610 at the flea market for $20.00 and I got THAT one going in about two days. The gas tank had BAR oil in it! Now I have three saws. Then I looked on Ebay and found all kinds of great parts listings! Then I found beautiful old McCulloch 15 saws and 1-40 saws and 250 saws and PM1000 saws,,, EEEEAAAKKKKK KKKKK . Now I bought a 650 saw and I DON"T need any more saws!!!!! Is there any help !!! I hear voices in my head... saws are your friend, you need just one more, look at all of the pretty colors..... ..... .

Hello Jeff, While you may have a small problem now. Nothing will prepare you for the next thing. I am going to describe. It is a fate worse then death. What ever you do. Do not start cutting, spliting and stacking Firewood. The scenario will go as follows: One cord -you are a rich man. Two cords --You are a very rich man. Three cords--Nobody is possibily as wealthy as you. Four cords-- You become a greedy SOB. You can not get enough wood. You drive by a neighbors and flip him off, only because he may have more cords then you. You buy spliting mauls. You buy a log spliter. You go out for wood every, I mean every, waking moment. You buy a bigger truck to haul more cords. You buy a trailor. You house can not be seen from the street for all the cords you have stacked and covered. All the while getting more and more cords of wood. It is a never ending vicious cycle. THERE IS NO CURE. Hope this opens your eyes to the real dangers that are out there. Benjamin J. "Joe" Browning

Sorry, this forum aint no twelve step program for tool collectors! We put out the tool collecting fire with gasoline.

Back to your question. What is the problem? Are you asking if we have any chainsaws for sale? Do you need to know where to find more? Why no Husky or Stihls? Man, that is a small collection. You obviously need help finding more chainsaws! Anyone have a line on items this fine man desire?

Dan

PS. I am looking for routers, I only have 10, I am looking for a table saw, I only have 4. I am looking for chisels, I only have 250+. I need some 3/8 ratchets, I only have 26.....

Don't let the toy tractor bug bite you either. You can spend hundreds of bucks on ebay adding to your collection. Don't ask me how I know.

I wouldn't complain too much, those saws have got to be cheaper than tractors, and they take up less space in the shed too. Maybe I should sell my tractors and start collecting chain saws. Come to think of it, I do have a couple of old Homelites to get rid of, wonder if I can find them?

My Achilles heel is old American made wrenches. I don't care how many I have I can think of a place I "need" to keep one more. A set in the truck, a set in the car, a set in the garage, a set in the house, a set at work(and I'm just a school teacher), a set at my parents house even though my dad has every tool known to man.

I've thought about cancelling my internet service. Is there a clinic that treats "wrench fever"?

Hi, In response to your question...there is a clinic that treats Wrench Fever in Fonsborough, Michigan.

Wrench Fever is a very serious illness with symptoms including nausea, vomiting, hot flashes, cirrhosis of the liver, broken blood vessels in the eyes, and/or coughing.

The Fever requires a vaccination that is covered by most insurance providers. I urge you to seek help regarding the matter.
