I bought a used Karcher hot-cold pressure washer with steam. I actuallkt use the steam cleaner mode than pressure washer as we clean a lot of heavy equipoment and the pressure was seems to peel paint while the steam doesn't. I only paid $400. a few years ago. I had to have a fuel pump replace and was over$100. I won't but another as it is very expensive to have work done on it. I would buy a USA made machinme as this one was made in Germany. Good quality but parts will kill you. Just my 2 cents worth

I agree with Ron from IL, The Honda motors start easier andthe divilbiss don't have many problems with the washers in the pressure pump.

I just got done using mine. It is from Tractor Supply and has good pressure. Smooth running Briggs 6.5 hp engine 2350 or 2400psi in that range. Really has good features and I like it. I would recommend them so far. I am partial to Briggs engines over the others.

I certainly like my electric motor over the noise of a gasoline engine.

Ron,

Here were some of my criteria when I chose one:

1.) A Honda engine. They are better. Period.
2.) At least 2400 psi. If you really want to do more than just wash your car.
3.) Less than $300. I know, I'm cheap!

I was able to get all of these at Farm and Fleet. The brand turned out to be Devilbiss, but I've seen other brands since that had these features. Oh, and one other thing. If you can, get one with big wheels (12-14"). They roll a lot easier over rough ground and rocks.

Good luck!

Ron

What Ron says, at at least 3gpm - or more. this translates to 5.5hp or more. Am very happy with my Honda.
