Anyone seen a nailer for fence staples? All I've ever seen are the "palm nailer" type. Anyone seen a better way?

A few years back, there was an article in the Farm Show magazine about a farmer who made a fence stapler out of an old air nailer. He made a new track for the staples to go on the nailer. To hold the staples together, he made a jig to hold them in line while he stuck them together with hot glue.

Don't know their address. Betcha Farm Show has a website, though.

Might you not be able to use a shingle nailer? Those staples should be big enough.

20 oz. claw hammer; if it's new, the face is probably convex; grind it so it's flat or slightly concave..... ..

fence contractor--I drive about 100 lbs/yr, get a GOOD hammer. 20 oz., 16" glass handle,mill face. vaugn or craftsman. Size the staples right. 3/4 or 1 " for locust without bark to 2 3/4" barbed minimum for treated soft pine. that extra 1/4" adds up over a half mile of fence. p.s. look out most fence staples don't have enough galv on them to make them shine
