Sectional or Coil up Shop Doors

About to build a new shop... and I need to decide between the Coil and sectional doors.. I like the over head clearance of the Coil up doors... they will be 12x12 and 12x14... We have large coil up doors at work.. 25ft widths... and on windy days they flex and make lots of racket.. I think the smaller doors will be better.. Just wanting some others opinions.. Thanks

In my shop I used the 12x12 roll up doors for one reason - less wasted space. Sectional doors require some overhead bracing which consumes storage space and/or blocks lighting fixtures, especially when the door is all the way up.

On roll up doors they have 2 types - slats and sheet. I went with slats in the event I dinged a door I could just replace the dinged slats vs. having a whole door to replace. My doors on are on the N and S end of my shop so not much wind problems. Here are some pics of the shop under construction a couple yrs. ago.

Thanks for the pics... I'm still undesided about the doors... Did you get the weather striping to go around the doors??? and what brand doors did you use.. (Do you still like the doors.. or would U use a different brand???) I do like the extra space with the coil doors.. and I think they will be easier to install.. I don't like the fact that you can't insulate the doors..
