I have a chance to buy a brand new Century AC 225 amp stick welder in the box for $100. I this a good brand? I've only had experience with Lincoln and Miller, and I want to know if this would be a good deal.

If it is the model with the infinite amperage adjustment, AC high or low voltage, and 100% duty cycle at around 90 amps, I got the same welder from my wife 7-8 years ago. It has worked quite well, I built a trailer and have done plently of odd jobs with it.
The only minor gripe is the cheap mask and marginal cables you get with it, not really unexpected at this price. A new helmet and cables and no problems.

Hi Bigred,

For a $100 how bad can it be? Thats a darn good buy if you ask me. I've used two Century's and for what little I used them, they got the job done.

Father-in-law has a Century AC/DC, with arc starter - love it! Done quite a bit of welding with it.
