Northern has what you need, but you have to give your first born for the shipping. In my opinion that just makes the price higher and frankly, although the ladies at Northern are friendly, they don`t seem all that knowledgable. If you want pro service, selection, price, and reasonable shipping try these sites: www.commercialcutters, www.baileys-online.com, or www.localaccess.com/madsens/.

Inside the cover, where the air cleaner is, is a black plastic air dam that has "summer" and "winter" printed on it. It directs carberator air to draw warm air off the cylinder during winter (to prevent icing) and cooler air during summer to help performance.

My book doesn't mention it but if you pull the cover and look, it should be there.

F14's on the mark for safety equip. Northern has about the best price for the helmet with screen visor and ear muffs attached. Best single thing you can have.

Remember the most important safety concern has to do with the tension on the nut holding the handle of your saw. Be careful and enjoy your 029. Best saw in my book too. I sure like mine.

That's the model I have been using for the last few years. Good machine, particularly for cutting on the ground. Too heavy (for me) for limb pruning. No issues with it, only normal cleaning and sharpening. Always starts easy, winter (well, ours ain't much in Central Tx) and summer (we've got one of those!).

Chaps and a helmet should be available at any decent chainsaw sales and repair place. If not, check Northern Tool.
