I made the mistake of loaning out my bull float and got it back with hard concrete on it. Got any ideas on removeing the old concrete?

I wouldn't use muratic acid if it is a mag float. It will pit the metal. I work at a soils and concrete testing lab. During the winter when its slow we clean up all our concrete testing equipment. We soak it for a day or two in plain old vinager, then scrub and rinse it off with water. Not the fastest thing in the world, but it does a good job.

Go to Menards/Lowes/Home Depot or local lumber yard and get a gallon of Muriatic acid. Careful with this stuff, but it'll definitely eat that concrete off. Rinse thoroughly and throw some baking soda on it after to neutralize any left over acid.
