Sorry, didn't mean to infer that you busted the door! Now, the interior trim panel is usually held on by either plastic trim clips, which break when you pry on them, or metal spring clips. The arm rest usually has 2 screws underneath to take out--but, sometimes the arm-rest is made in the trim panel, not separate. And there may be little plastic plugs over the screws. If the dent has heavy creases in it, you will probably have to replace the outer panel. Used to be, the outer panel was spot welded on to the inner frame of the door, but lately everything is glued together. I've replaced these glued panels. It is simple enough. you have to remove the door, grind around the folded edge of the door, just enough for the old panel to pop off! (well, with some help) Then take off the strip of tin on the inside of the edge. Then grind the inside edge all the way around. Try the fit of the new panel, making sure it fits good. Make a few alignment marks on the inner edge, to help in aligning the panel. After you get it to lay on the frame, you run a strip of automotive structural adhesive clear around the inner edge. Lay the panel on it, clamp it in place, fold the edge in flat, allow it to all set up, then get somebody to paint the door and hang it! Believe me, it is much better to take it to somebody who has the equipment and expertise to do the job right! Take this bit of advice from a retired auto-body man! Rusty Jones
