Paddles stop under snow load, is there an adjustment/belt that needs replacement?

Since you say it is a two stage snowblower and the paddles stop under load I am guessing that you mean that the blower close to the engine is stopping. Theis is controle by belt tension off the engine. Usuallly a belt cover between the engine and blower housing. Sometimes a tensioner under the cover or in the clutch rod that controls the blowing action. A Manual for your model would clarrify where adjustments are made.
If by paddles you mean the auger in the front stopps but the blower keeps turning then you have a broken sheer bolt. Often these go between the auger shaft and the inner shaft but once in a while they are in the center shaft or the chain drive on very old machines.
I hope this helps you.

That does help, they look like paddles and work like a blower at the bottom of the discharge chute, behind the auger?

Was hoping it was a belt/tensioner, but might be the clutch, have to have someone look at the front when they stop?

Thanks for that quick response.....lots of snow to move, and have a bad heart, and can't afford the fix let alone a new blower...but might be able to swing a new tractor with blower/blade/mower/loader.....I wish!

Do only the blower paddles stop, or does the auger out front stop, too.

If the whole unit stops, I would suspect a bad belt, but if the front auger remains turning, you have a bad shear pin connecting the blower wheel to the shaft.

What is the model number of the blower? I could email you a parts diagram, if you'd like. contact me by email.
