Hello Everyone, While wandering around looking at various websites. I came across what I think is one of the best designs for a Metal Cut Off Saw Stand. It is designed so the metal stock can be supported while cutting on a 45 degree angle, without having to set up supporting stands. You know the ones that you never have enough room to set up and support the 20 foot bar that you only need a nine inch piece off the end
Please check it out on the Metal Web News (www.metalwednews.com)site. It was designed and built by Jamie Norwood.
Thanks, Joe

When I need a 45 cut. I cut it square 1/4" longer. Then I can do the 45 on the short piece which I have more control over.

And I don't have to square up the long stock before I need the next piece.

I built a stand attached to the end of my roll around bench that's 8' long to put my chop saw on. Saw's cutting table is flush with the bench top. After I do the measuring for length and/or angle, I just slide it to the saw. Only one extra stand is needed for the 20 footers for the first few cuts.

Benj.
Your address was almost correct but you had a 'd' instead of a 'b' in the address in case you didn't notice. Also , again if you don't already know, instead of typing in the address, just copy it from the address bar at the top and paste it into your message.
