im having trouble with my chainsaw. it runs for a short time then cut off and i start it and it runs for about 3 seconds and cutt off again. could anybody help me with this i need help asap

I had a problem like this and it was the spark
plug. Cheap to replace and an easy fix for my
saw. Try to avoid Champion plug.

It sounds to me like you should probaly rebuild the carb on your saw. What make and model do you have? If its a common model I can probably get you pointed in the right direction for parts to rebuild the carb. and while you're replacing things, I would recommend replacing the fuel lines that go to the carb from the tank, they are probably cracking or broken open. But when you replace the fuel lines, DO NOT buy the home improvement brand line as they are a cheap roll of garbage, instead buy the replacement fuel lines and a new filter as well from a servicing dealer. The whole repair job provided you do it yourself, will most likely cost less than $35 USD to do.
