Hi guys, first of all, thank you for all your help and advice with my Ingersoll-Rand compressor. I called the local Ingersoll-Rand repair center today and ordered the new parts, pressure switch, two pop off valves, gauge, and mis. fittings. Grand total $198.00 The sales clerk does not suspect there was any damage in letting the compressor run all night! Thanks again.

My Emglo compressor wouldn't "unload" and shut off normally, it would stall the motor! After much fussing with it, i finally took the cover off the pressure switch, and sprayed contact cleaner in there! I let it soak for a day, and now it seems to be operating o.k. Although i don't use it much in winter, it shuts off like it should, when i do turn it on! I found, when it was messing up, if i shone a heat lamp on it, it would shut off! I guess after 20 years, it needed a rest! Rusty Jones
