'Mornin Guys,

On the advice of a local druggist here, I had the Heating and A/C company build me this 220 volt heater (10,000 watt heating element with a blower; controled by a wall thermostat).

I've been running it hard for the past 6 weeks set at 68 degrees and have been dreading the pending electric bill like the plauge.

It came on Friday: Not too bad, just not bad at all.

You need to get a ceiling covering on that paper covered insulation.

Well all that time and questions about installing insulation has paid off.

Remember... You do it right the first time and you will be much happier with the final product.

It looks great. Now it is time to stop spending the kids inheritance and enjoy your new shop :>)

John

Whats not bad?
Is your bill the actual meter reading or is it a statistical average? --Out here the meters are read once every three months. The in between months are based on history/seasonal usage averages.

Yep,

I've had this problem all my life. I come off as a complete idiot to other folks.

I would not have taken the time to post this without knowing the difference between actual, estimated, and ratcheted charges.

Sorry,

Allan

still you best put a 4'x4' pice of drywall over the heater as to not over heat that insulation. looks great
