Seems like they all are 15amp.Saw a Craftsman today next to a Dewalt and it looks better made.I read most of the posts on chop saws.I need one for home mostly to cut angel and pipe for my many welding projects. The Dewalt cost $50.00 more and I wonder if it is worth it. ThankYou for any help you can offer.John

Might be in your best interest to find out who make Craftsman chop saws,I know that Emerson Electric makes their radial arm saws.I have a Ryobi, Dewalt and a cheap Chop saw from Harbor Fraight. I prefer my band saw over the chop saws, It will cut everything the chop saws will cut and I can set it up turn on and go do other things while it is cutting my material.

I have a craftsman chop saw that has been good for umpteen trailers and 10 years of service.I love it.But I also use a very old crafsman power hack-saw it is a way better deal for cutting straight stock like angle iron.Check out them power hack-saws they can be found cheap.

I really like my Milwaukee chop saw. It has the cast base as opposed to the stamped one available. The De Walt saw is a good saw so check them feature by feature for the best and heftiest parts. This is a lifetime tool so invest well my son.

I bought the saw because the milwaukee tool sales rep was there and I made him throw in a cap on the deal.
