Well Duffy caught a mouse and during playtime with it, The mouse ran into the Vent for the cannisters motor compartment. We didn't find this out until My Son turned it on. Pee U.

wife wants me to dig the mouse out?

What can I do about the smell? Is there anything I can spray it with?

This old Eureka Cannister with seperate power head is the best vacume cleaner we have ever had. And it was free!

Solve the problem, don't treat the symptoms.Remove the mouse, don't spray perfume

My thought: Pitch it, then go around on garbage night and look fer another vacuum cleaner. Here in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, the yuppies throw them away every week! I only pick up Dirt Devils, because when i go to sell them, i get all of that free advertising on TV! RJ

A product called OdoBan is sold at Sam's Clubs. It seems to kill odors , rather than mask them. It is sold in gallons, about 10 dollars, I think. I have been using a gallon for several years. I can sympathize with your problem, I once had a dead cat under the hood of a car for several days. By the time I realized where it was coming from, I had a mess,it was in summer... It was weeks before my girlfriend would get in the car again.

Store the vacuum out in the barn for a month and hope that no more mice find it inviting.

Hello, This might not be pratical in your situation. Somehow try an use Tomato Juice, Sauce, Tomatoes, etc. It will get rid of most animal smells including skunk. Joe

My wife swears by a product called Febreze to kill odors; comes in a small spray bottle from supermarket/Wal-mart. Works great on fabric; might work in your situation..... ..

DO NOT use Fabreeze if you have pet birds in your house. It will kill them. It coats their lungs, suffocating them.
