I have a ? I think it is a 630 or 830,I'll have to make sure.. I want a 24"-26" oregon bar and 91 series/low profile 3/8 chain to go on it.I can get the chain in bulk,where to get the bar? My local saw guy does'nt handle over 20" bars. I tried a google search and all I got was a bunch of crap,any suggestions where to look. I'd prefer an online source. Thank you

Hi Chris, I can`t figure out for the life of me why you would want to run 3/8s low pro chain. The low pro chain is made for saws that don`t have the jam to pull a normal size tooth which shouldn`t be the case with your Jonsy.

Furthermore, you are likely to have chip clearance problems running LP on that long of a bar. Skip chain would help with chip clearance, but you are just sacrificing more performance. Low pro chain is actually .370 when measured, not the standard .375 of 3/8 chain. It requires a special drive sprocket and nose sprocket on your bar or you will see vastly accelerated wear and it will be robbing power from you as it tries to mate itself to the other pitch.

Hey ,thanks Mike.I was at an oregon site but not that one.I found the bar I want and ordered it online.$36 Joel, I'll check with the local saw shop,he's got about 4 different rolls of that chain,each with a different tooth setup.

A skip tooth allows the rpm to stay up. I have an old 61 husky for back up & a 371xp for main saw. 61 has 28" with skip tooth & 371 has 32" with skip tooth. I'm not a big fan of bending over. I run chisel bit chain on both & let the saw shop sharpen for me.

Go to the Oregon site, oregonchain.com, & click on the selector guide to find the correct bar number.

Purchase online at www.mfgsupply.com.
Looks like a D009 bar mount fits the Johnny 630. You may wish to verify that your spocket has the correct # of teeth.
