Had never heard of it til I saw your post earlier tonight. Not to long after I was watching a show on TV showing the training of US military firefighters, and guess what they were using...gasoline fueled torches. Based on the other comments on here and what I saw on the web site I think I'm gonna be doing some more investigating this week for myself.

Farmshow did an article for the Chinese gasoline torch. ive seen the Petrogen work its either US or UK. The Chinese torch to cut you had to turn a cutting knob by hand. The Petrogen I saw had an oxygen lever like a standard torch. They show both torches cutting off an 8 incher plate, my tracer torch can cut 10 inches thick steel just as smooth on oxygen and acetylene. Ine thing the Farmshow expert mentioned was the Chinese torch out lasted his O/A out fit tips saying that he had to put a new tip in his O/A torch ever bottle change. I kinda questioned that remark.

I saw a demonstration at the Hopkington, NH State Fair at least 10 years ago. It worked well. The vendor claimed it was safer than acetylene.

I sent for the lit.(also caught the post below )It looks quite pricey, The'y say approved for mines, but I know they can'T mean underground operations thats a no no .But in any case has anyone used this set up?? It seems a lot of care must be used with gasoline under pressure,

I've used the petrogen setup, its way trick...

Past the initial investment, its cheaper than heck to run.

Heats way-way past ac for cutting.

Cuts almost as good as my plasma cutter.
