I am looking for an air wrench with 300 or therabouts ft.lb. of torque.
What brand & model would you suggest?

I agree with others... buy the best you can afford... IR or other brand names... Problem w/cheap imports (and sometimes Craftsman) is that when you need parts a year or two down the road, they're not available. Then you have an expensive (and ugly) paper weight.

I use nothing but IR, or Snap anylonger for air tools. I've burnt through too many
other guns (imports).

Check Ebay, there are great deals there
if you are patient.

IR just came out with a new one with 1000 ft pounds of torque for about $250 and it titanium which helps keep the weight down and give it durability. Basically this has 3/4" power in a 1/2" size and weight.

That's way underpowered. If you want something like that, you can get a new cheap Campbell-Hausfeld for $10 off eBay.

If you're looking for a good impact wrench, get something like a IR 2131. They make a couple versions of that one. Also have a couple of less-expensive ones that are all-aluminum instead of composite. They also sold a fancy one called the "Thunder Gun" for a while. I think it's NLA but they show up on eBay all the time.

I have a heavy duty Craftmen, BUT regardless of what brand you get, get the best heavy duty one you can aford, you will be happier in the long run. I have found out the cheap stuff is more work the w/out the item. I go whole on tools, if its worth doing, its worth doing with the best tool you can find.

I bought My old Chicago Pnuematic about 20 yrs ago. I thought it was a good wrench, rated at 425#/ft maximum, and it did most things I expected of it. I bought Son an Ingersoll-Rand THUNDERGUN for X-mas, rated 625#/ft. My suggestion is to save Your $$$$$ and Buy something similar to it, C-P makes one, I-R makes a 2131 that's good but is the older model. Not cheap, but You only ever have to buy it ONCE.

I got the one I have at Wal-mart had there cheap one but it was junk so I got there heavy duty one and its been good and I have used the heck out of it for about 7 years now cost around $80
