I have a hall model EJ valve seat grinder made in the 1940 era and would like to get an instruction or operating manual for it. Also if anyone knows a parts source for this machine.
Thanks,
Larry

Larry,

Hall is still in business ( at least they

were a few years ago ,I have a catalog from them).

That is the cadillac of valve seat grinders, it

is an eccentric grinder with micrometer down

feed to the seat . I have a hall seat grinder ,

a hall cyl hone , and a hall valve seat cutter

for installing seats. My seat cutter came with a

price sheet dated july of 1941, collets that were

50 cents then are 15.00 now.

If hall doesn't help you holler back and I'll

copy part of this manual for you .

I've seen several units on Ebay. Maybe someone with that model could copy the manual if they have it, for a fee.
Usually the manuals are long gone. You might also check with a community college that has engine rebuilding courses and ask what book is used, or better yet, take the course. You will get actual hand on training.
