for all the responces! Certainly gives me many ideas to think over. Sometimes wish I could read something by "Kidder" and be done with it; but guess that would destroy the fun and adventure of the project.

One more question please.

I read in the archives about "anchore points" placed in the floor. What are these and the purpose?

Scott: Anchor points are for if you decide to put in heavy equipment (lathe, mill, large air compressor, tire changer, etc. etc.) that needs to be anchored down. It's better, cheaper, and easier to put these in when you're building rather than having to add them later.

Also great when you need to pull something down, like straightening a frame, etc. I put mine alongside the steps in the grease pit- had a narrow space dug out anyway, dropped in 1 inch bar several feet long, bent in a U on one end. They come up in a coffee can form, flush with the floor.
