Has any one ever built a grapple rake for a skidloader. They cost new around 2500.00 an up depending on size.Seems like if a guy has the steel and welder an cutting torch,It could be pulled off.May not look like it just came off a assembly line but function'al.Thanks

Sure ya can Jim! i once built forks for my small skid steer loader Mustang 330 a four foot wide machine, i had loads of fun building it and they work well made em outta six inch channel iron and re-inforced em with one inch round cold rolled stock, tons of weld in em but had lots of fun,and they never bent! didn't buy one piece of steel as i had it all in the scrap pile, later i re-mounted em to fit on my Mustang 345 and i was able to pick up heavier loads and they still didn't bend!

Jim, I just built a THUMB for my 632 Bobcat last week. As Wil said use what you have....I used a main beam from a old allis 3pt plow, and the "hook" part, that the moboard bolted to. We have a outside boiler and use some slab wood, along with logs, from our woods. Works great.I have it mounted on a set of forks. Didn't have to buy anything. Good Luck, and have fun!!! Bob
