At the local Rona Revy here in Canada, there's a Clarke Air compressor, oil lubricated, twin tank, 6.0 cfm at 90 psi with 150 psi max for $188 CAD. Sounds great, but I've never heard of Clarke Air before. Wondering if anyone here has had experience with this brand. Thanks!

Lawrence

Clarke was based in Olean,N.Y.I have two Clarke 2500 cfm compressors where I work, they were installed in 1956 and have not missed a beat since.Good machines, but i have never seen one other than the large industrial compressors. They were bought out by Dresser/Rand several years ago and parts are getting hard to come by.

Don't think you will get much of a machine for that price. Mostly I have seen Clarke welders, but not compressors. Clarke seems to be bigger in England than here, for now anyway. I'd be tempted to spend a bit more money, but that's easy to say when it's not yours! That Eagle unit on their website looks decent. They aren't bad pumps. I've built a lot of them over the past year.
