Anyone familiar with gasoline powered jackhammers? I think they were made back in the '30s and '40s and I've seen 'em at auctions but never paid attention to them. Now I need a jackhammer and would like to avoid the cost of renting a compressor, etc. To make it more difficult, I'm miles from grid AC power so electric ones are out, unless I use a generator, but then I'd have to rent one of those. How well do the gas powered ones work? What's a good price to pay for one?

Thanks!

I think there are hydraulic ones now. Could run it with a tractor, I would think.
