I have a hand held unit that looks like the Auto X Ray scan tool, and I'd like to identify it.
From the top,
above the display panel is written "ETX AUTOSTAR".
Below the display panel is "MEADE". The three buttons below that are "ENTER", "MODE", "GO TO".
Underneath the three buttons are 4 buttons arranged in a square with triangles on them:

Next is a keypad: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 The zero key also has a light bulb on it.
Beneath the keypad is: ?

On the bottom end is a four contact telephone jack and next to that is an eight contact phone? jack.
On the back is embossed: Meade Instrument Corporation. 35-4700-00 For Home or Office Use

Does anyone know this device?
Thanks
(When I preview this message, everything including the "artwork" gets messed up. The weird symbols represent triangles, except: "Beneath the keypad", the ? is a ?).

Its the controller for a motorized telescope mount, which connects your PC to the telescope and allows the scope to automatically track stars, planets etc.Meade Instruments is a major optical equipment mfg.

Thanks for the info... I thought the AUTOSTAR was some sort of engine trouble shooting tool.
