I need to locate a distance measuring instrument for a pulling sled. I assume most are made to meter the rotation of the wheels. Thank you for your consideration.

Most pulling sleds just put a tape measure along one of the rails
and directly read the actual distance the box moves, irregardless
of the ground distance. Where the big boys want actual ground
distance they are using lasers.
