Briegel Method Tool

Found a tool that I can't identify. It looks like a pair of pliers, but it obviously some sort of a crimping tool, for something about 7/8" diameter. Inside the jaws are two small studs that would further indent the crimp. About 10" long, handles are marked "Briegel Method Tool" and "Cat No 607 pat pend". They look pretty old and have had moderate use. Appears to be well made, not a piece of junk.
Found in my grandfather's stuff. He sometimes picked up old tools at yard sales. There's no telling how old they could be.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

This tool was used in the electrical trade. It is used to crimp couplings and connectors on electrical conduit or EMT .

Well Fella's, This may be a little late but I have a pair of these I use to crimp/stake aluminum tube ( boat top type ). You can get the tips from King Marine ( wholesale ).
Link
Or I can get them for you ( cost plus shipping ). I've mounted mine in a bench a rigged a foot pedal. It works great and after 1,000 of cycles, it has broke... I just picked up two more from King Marine this afternnon and am now preping to modify them for my bench set-up. But they are import knock offs that leave something to be desired ( crushing the tube at full closure ). I had to Modify the opening on the Briegel tool but not near as much as I will for these knock off's.

So Kirk, I hope the message gets to you or you check back.

Wyatt

Do you have a source for any of the original Briegel tools. That was my grandfather's business, and I'd like to complete my set. Thanks.
