Does anyone outthere have any experience with Ridgid 18v cordless drills?My 10 year old Makita has given up the ghost,and Home Depot has the Ridgid on sale for $199. Thanks

Last I heard, rigid/ryobi is making craftsman drills. Come to think of it my 19.2 volt sears has a ryobi cross ref. Manufacture number on it.

Ridgid cordless tools are currently made by Ryobi. The way Home Depot changes suppliers for this brand, I probably wouldn't buy one for the long haul just yet. They're brand new--wait until it has a track record. In the meantime, get a nice Porter-Cable, DeWalt, or Milwaukee that'll last forever.

Some Ridgid tools bought before the end of the year have a lifetime warranty. That would make a good deal if batteries are covered.
