Found a lazy boy leaf vacuum chipper today garbage picking. The unit looked all but new. Seems someone left full in the tank over the year and it turned bad. Cleaned the fuel system / carb and first pull it started and ran great. Only thing missing is the hose and connection. Anyone got ideas on a retro fit?

does this chipper have a grey plastic body and a tecumseh engine? if so, i have the same one. my carb gets clogged every year and i have to disassemble it. never had that problem with any of my other equipment

Yes, That is what what the vacuum / chipper looks like. The hose connecting plate and hose are missing. I have taped the hole close for testing and the machine works good. Can you send a photo or discribe the parts that are missing?

I can get a photo for you on tuesday or wednesday.

i don't know how to post pictures on the forum, so if you could post your e-mail address i will send you the pictures once i take them

i bought my machine from Sears. about 2 years later, i broke the thing that holds the hose on. i was able to get 2 new ones through sears service. then i broke one of the new ones, so im on my last hose bracket. last year i broke the handle. i went to sears and found out they no longer carry parts for this machine since it wasn't sold under the sears name. i ended up welding the handle back together. i don't know were you can get parts for the machine now. keep driving by the house where you found it, you might see the hose lying out by the street some day.
