I have a cincinnati milling machine, it says NO.2 and the book I have with it says 2-18, 2-24 rise and fall milling machine, it is belt drive with the motor mounted on the second floor.(wide leather belt)I also have a large Lathe,no name plate, probably 3-5 feet between centers(haven't measured it) it too has the wide belt drive with the motor mounted on second floor, and Large chuck. both run real nice and I was wondering where I can find a value for these, I tried google search and came up with nothing specific. Thanks in advance!!

I would think that a horizontal milling machine in good condition with arbors and stuff would sell for at least a $1000. I have never had the chance to run one. I use a vertical Bridgeport everyday, it is a 1974 standard cat. 1. It runs good, holds decent tolerances but I would love to have a new one.

If they are in good condition, accurate, that helps, large machines can be worth less though as it takes someone with the equipment and space to buy them, the smaller bench top machines are in demand for this reason. Your machines, if in good condition, are worth, I would guess$1500 to 3000 ea., to the right person.

we bought a cincinati number 2 miller a few years ago for 150 bucks, it was newer than the style he described. horizontal millers aint worth much nowdays, he would be lucky if he got 300 bucks, they are over 6000 lbs so not easy to move at all

You are probably right, I was thinking verticle mill, forgot the horizontal part. But the weight and size is what limits one too. Nice to have but difficult to deal with moving. Worth more only if you find the right person and it is in good shape.
