Building a pipe fence using 2 3/8 inch pipe.
How much heat will I need for this weld and which
electrode? I am looking at the Miller Bobcat and
Bluestar for the job. Any comments on these products and if they will do the job will be
appreciated. Thank you.

I have a daughter who is incarcerated and is learning to weld. I know nothing on the subject & am trying to find some books to send her. I'm looking for the very basics. Can you help me?
I would appreciate it. Thank you

Is that old drill stem? Some of that can be radio active, and some of will magnetized, and some will be brittle. Good luck with it. Dave

I have a question? - Is the pipe you will be welding galvanized? If so be careful, the fumes from galvanized pipe are toxic if inhaled. Have a fan to blow the fumes away from you and be carefull of not getting them under your helmet.

I'm sure your welder is up to the task. I'd talk to your welding supply store and ask them for some help. My shop is run by some highly experienced welders who really know their trade. They've helped me several times and actually enjoy having someone ask questions and respect their depth of knowledge.
