I have looked at the messages on drill presses but
I have not been able to find any info on US made newer models. Some years ago I found a web site on a company somewhere in the south that made what looked to be very nice presses. I can not find the site now.
They made presses in the 700$ range that looked very robust. Anyone familiar with them or other good presses that are a bit more quality than the usual 200 to 300 $ you find at Low's etc.
I know that these are OK presses but it is nice to work with quality tools.

My sears industrial catalog has a Delta brand drill press for $700. 1HP 150-2200 RPM. Don't know if that is what you had in mind or not. DoAll also has some production grade drill presses. MSC Direct is another possible source.
