Sears backpack blower fuel system

Another(clear rubber) runs out of tank in same manner and has a screw in the end up in the carb area.

The third is black rubber and is attached to clear out of the bottom of carb. It has the filter attached inside the tank. I busted this one with the air hose trying to see if air would pass through the filter. It's a special made hose for this application with a stretchy section inside tank.

Anybody got a similar setup that could tell me what goes to where?

Sounds like a European design. What's the model number? Solo made some of these things for Sears. Very nice--unlike most Sears stuff.

The troubleshooting of this is the same as for any 2-stroke engine. You need fuel, spark, and compression. If you have the last two, trying pouring a little fuel mix down the carb throat (and give the throttle a squeese so the gas goes in). Try to start it then and see what happens. If it starts or coughs, you problem's fuel delivery and the carb probably needs a rebuilt.

Does the primer bulb fill with fuel when you pump it?

I should have said earlier that it will run on mix poured through carb or a shot of ether.

The hose coming from tank to primer bulb was only an inch inside the tank. The hose with filter was hooked to bottom of carb.

I bought some new generic hose yesterday and I have a new filter that should work, but I didn't have time to give it a try last night.

I assumed the primer bulb hose should feed the carb from the top. Is that correct?

Any pix or diagrams anywhere on the fuel system?
