Would anyone happen to know where I can purchase or find information on the "hooks" for connecting the ends of a flat belt together. I have a vise tool, Clipper I think, that is for crimping the hooks on the end of the belt. It will do up to a 2" belt. Then a pin is used to connected the ends forming the belt. Stamped on the tool is "For No.1 hooks only". I used this tool once 5 years ago. Now, I need to repair/replace one belt and make a second. But I don't have any hooks. Any clue where I can get them???

Check out Hit N Miss enterprises, not sure of their web sight, but they sell what you are looking for for flat belts on gas engines

years ago I have spliced what seemed to be miles of belting, had 3 different type clipper tools, one as you described. Check and see if the following will help, tho, I think TSC has these hooks, might check.

Any dealer who sells belt-type balers should either have them in stock or be able to order them..... ..

I think TSC stores have them for round baler belts.

Do a Google search for "Clipper belt lacing".

825 "hits" to choose from.

"Lacing" that may do it. I have tired every combo of "flat belt repair hooks tool vise clipper" and can up with nothing.

Thanks

Ask Google for "Alligator Belt Lacing". Used for conveyors. Probably will work for drive belts also. You might also try "Gas Engine Magazine".
