Anyone know where I can find a replacement compressor pump for a Dresser Industries, Wayne Air Compressor, Model 5200-SU. Year manufactured ???, 5 HP 2 stage pump. The Pump was damaged in a fall and Ive been searching without much luck.

I just got an old compressor with a Baldor 5hp motor on it. The only name I could find on the thing (besides the Furnas switch) was Wayne and it was on the filter housing. It's a two stage cast iron pump with a big two belt wheel and the pipes come out of the head and wrap two or three times around the wheel shaft between the head and wheel. I'd like to send you a picture of it in hopes it might be like yours and then I'll know what beast I have. It's a great working compressor that's ugly since it sat out in the weather for a good while. The switch cover is off because I was adjusting the cut-out pressure. If anyone can identify this compressor please email me. Thanks Link

I'm pretty sure they are no longer made. I'd put another good 5hp pump on there are scrap the Dresser. Qunicy 325 would be an excellent replacement pump. Independent Components Corp might make replacement valves and springs and gaskets and the like, but most likely would not make replacement components like heads and cranks and stuff. Somebody lift the compressor under the tank with a forklift?

Almost as bad .... I was jacking it up to put steel wheels under it so I could easily move it, I didn't realize just how top heavy the whole thing was . Luckily I wasnt between it and the floor when it came over. Thanks for the advice, Ive been looking for someone that will sell a comparable replacement pump for less than the price of a whole new rig.
