Looking for recomendations on what type winch to use on a GN equipment trailer. Primarily used for hauling running/nonrunning 75 - 100 hp tractors and equipment.

Have you ever seen a winch with a 2-cycle motor on it. I've only seen one, but I liked it. It could be used anywhere and the speed was quite good. John

I'd put a worm drive 8 or 9,000 single line pull on it. Worm drive winches are simpler, strong and cheaper. The line speed is a bit slower than a planatary, but that's an advantage on a trailor!! Robert
