I was wondering if a 2 ton arbor press, would have enough force to press out a ball joint from a control arm or to press out the odd bushing ?

it all depends on the condition of the parts, if they are rusted it will take alot more, if they are fairly new they might come out with a big hammer. just like driveshaft u joints, i have taken some apart with a C clamp and a couple sockets, and a few with even just a small hammer and punch, yet i have had others that a 10 ton press couldnt budge, they had to be heated and sometimes even had to cut the cross out with a torch. ball joints are the same way, some are easy some arnt, you will just have to try it and hope for the best. theres a good chance it will work, maybe with a bit of penetrating oil or some heat tho.
