Clutch Pilot Tool

I was offered (for $8) a clutch pilot tool set consisting of a long tapered cone sliding on a 1/2"x8" shaft with several sizes of screw on pilot tips. The largest tip diameter is 1". Is that large enough for clutch installation on tractors like Ford 9N, Case VAC, IHC 350U, AC WD45, etc? I have not worked on any clutches yet, so I don't know what size the pilot bearing holes are.
Thanks,
Slowpoke

I replaced the flywheel on my TO-30 and the pilot bearing I.D. was about 1/2" - 5/8" to my recollection. I've never seen them be much bigger that 3/4" but you can never say never! The kit you have should work on most of the equipment you described. And for $8 you can't go wrong.

The tractors you list that I know, and I suspect the others as well, have pilot ID's of less than 1". Remember that universal clutch tools may have limited value when installing double clutches.

Thanks to all for the answers. I'll get the set, and hope I don't have to use it!
