changing hyd. oil and flushing

Have an old log splitter that needs the oil changed, it has no filter or guages on it. Would like to flush out the pump, hoses, and cyl. what would you use to do this. Thanks Don c

I would first put on a filter. Then maybe use it for a little while and then change the oil and filter.

I would use new tractor hydraulic oil
