Looking into buying a generator and came across a brand name Pramac generator. It has a Honda motor and a Macarty(spelled wrong) generator head. Was wondering if any one had one of these. Was looking at a Generac7500exl with a Briggs&Sratton motor on it.Like to hear what people have to say on this brands

Can't comment on the first brand, Generic has a fair reputation but I believe most of their sets use alternators with brushes, brushless sets are considered the best as I understand it. Whatever set you decided on make sure it produces clean enough power to safely run whatever it is your running. For examples my cheap Coleman 2K would probably fry my computer or microwave or frig or any other modern electronic device (the power it produces has too many spikes) but is fine for a light set or circular saw, fan, etc. Gillette makes a really nice product, they claim they were the first to produce gensets with clean enough power for electronic equipment. I bought one of their 10K sets in 1998 for backup for my whole house (we lose power all the time) and its given complete satisfaction.

Not sure of the Macarty brand generator but IMHO the Honda engine can't be beat!
