I bought a Clarke 220 Volt model 180 some 4 months ago. They are made in Italy. Clarke power products is in Ohio. Have found that parts are available on the net with no problem or from the Clarke company by phone. Love the unit so far. It does what I need it to do. Think I read somewhere that Clarke has been around since 1937. I would have to check that info again to be sure, so don`t hold me to it. I checked the specs against a number of other brands, and found them to meet my needs. It is a good idea to buy any type of tool that will exceed your maximum use if it. That way, it is not being used at it`s maximum output all the time. I my case, the smaller 110 Volt unit may well have met my needs, but would have been working at full tilt most of the time. I bought my unit online from a Clarke distributor. Found the the price for the same unit could vary a good bit form one dealer to another.

I had a clark mig I bought about 10 years ago at a garage sale. I used it on light jobs. IT is pretty cheaply built but it's worked fine too. I bought a much bigger hobart and gave the clarke away but it's still working fine. Tips and cones were hard to find.
