How to get brass bolts out of pot-metal

Tried some heat,tried pb blaster,tried melting wax into the threads.Got tired of it all and snapped 'em off flush,drill&tap.Anybody know of any tricks in a case like this? The bolts were 1/4-20 and soft enough that they would just twist.

Have had some luck with heating bolt head with soldering gun/copper.Supposedly this expands the bolt squashing the electrolytic corrosion debris created in the threads by disimilar metals and giving more space for penetrant to enter after it cools.Sometimes works/sometimes don't,like most things.

Drill a smaller thru hole in the center of the flush filed bolt with a proper size LEFT HANDED bit. If the torque doesn't loosen the bolt,then tap it 2/3 way with a left handed tap and screw in a grade 8 LH thread bolt to remove a broken off bolt. This doesn't always work, but there's always the "electronic discharge disintergrator" to burn it out, found at most all good machine shops.
