I bought a 12-speed drill press at an auction but it didn't have a chuck key for it. I didn't think it would be much of a problem to find one but I was wrong. Does anyone know where I can get a 5/8 chuck key for a Cummins Drill press, Model C114, Capacity: Chuck 5/8 inch, Spindle MT #2. Would appreciate any help on this!

The chuck on that, like the rest of the machine, is a generic Asian model. They use either standard Jacobs-pattern (numbered) or Rohm (lettered, like #S4) keys. Go to the hardware store with the chuck and try some off the shelf. I'd guess a Jacobs K32 or K3 would be a fit.

Jeff: You might start with Cummins themselves, if you haven't already--I've posted their website below. Also, many of these China-made tools are the same, regardless of the seller's name. A chuck key from Northern Tool, Harbor Freight, or other similar importer might work. As a last resort, you could try McMaster-Carr, Grainger, or MSC.
