I have a club car golf cart. It was running fine and one morning I went to use it on the farm and it would not work. When the carger was plugged in it did not respond with a charge.

I have no repair manuals or such on the cart. Does anyone have a idea what the problem may be.
It was fully charged before it stopped.

Thanks,

Bill

Does the charger put out the proper voltage when on and connected to the batteries ? If so George has the right answer, if not the charger is bad and needs repair. The proper voltage should be a bit higher than the total of all the batteries, ie if you have 2 6 volt batteries it sould put out over 16.6 volts, 3 6V batteries = 18.8, etc.

Since all the batteries are in series, I'd start looking for a battery with an open cell or a bad electrical connection between the battery charger and the batteries.
