What is the difference between 1 way and 2 way Hydraulic Couplings? Which would be better to attach to my hoses for Implements on my Tractor?

Are you guys sure Mark isn't trying to determine if he should use a one way or a two way remote cylinder? A one way would use one hose and a two way would use two hoses. It would depend on the requirements of the implement which to use. Ed

I'll take a stab at the answer. One way needs to push the collar back to hook up or release. Two way means the collar can pull out to hook up and can push in to release. This allows mounting the coupler by the collar and not having access to the rest of the coupler to hook and unhook. If I'm wrong, somebody will let us know.

Ah! Thanks, I wasn't understanding the question! :)

2-way allows you to push in the connector, & pull it out again. Simple. 1-way means you have to push a collar back with one hand, & get the hose into place with the other hand.

2-way wil pull apart without damage if your hose gets pulled hard - like a break-away plow or a hitch pin breaks or some such.

On the other hand a 1-way is a more positive connection, it will stay on.

I'd go for the 2-way.

Never actually heard them called that, everything is pretty much the standard Pioneer coupler these days..... That's what I would use!
