Does anyone own or have any experience using one of these welders? Looking at the picture they provide, I can't tell if they have replacable tips. What is the penetration and holding power of these units? Can you pull nuggets if you do a distructive test?

Thans for any info provided.

I bought one and did not have time to unbox it for a while. I unpacked it yesterday. There seems to be a serious problem in that you can"t assemble it as stated in the instructions.

The tips are too close together when assembled with the weld pressure handle in the raised position, so if you try to lower the handle to the "weld contact" position, it can"t be done. The tips overlap by about two inches. You can adjust the jam nut in the link on top of the machine all you want and it will not get close to being workable. This is the 110v. model with 6" tongs.

It has been over 30 days since I bought it but I"m going to go back and return it as a defective product.
