Marquette welder cable plugs

Does anyone know where I can find the old tapered plugs that go into a marquette welder. I have a welder that is 40 years old and the cables are shot so I need new cables and tapered plug leads.
I have been unsucessful finding these anywhere. Thanks

I have an old Marquette Starline 180 welder that needed new cables when I first brought it home. I looked everywhere for tapered plugs to fit it but couldn't find the right size. Out of desperation I decided to see how the old plugs were attached to the cables. It's really quite easy, just peel the rubber boots back, heat up the plug, and the old cable pulls right out. I think they used lead to solder them together. The rubber boots were a little bit brittle so they cracked but I used a short piece of heater hose over the new 1 awg wire before soldering and it works pretty well in place of the boot.

You may check SURPLUS CENTER, in their catalog, they show plugs and receptacles by FOURNEY.

I couldn't find them either, wound up changing the female oulets too.
